Your battery is the single most valuable part of your electric scooter — and heat is its only real enemy. Pakistan's summers hit 45°C on the road surface for weeks at a time. The Phylion lithium packs in every Nexo are built for it and covered for 36 months, but a few simple habits will keep your range higher for longer. Here are the seven that matter.
A scooter left in direct June sun can see battery-compartment temperatures far above the air temperature. Heat accelerates the slow chemical ageing inside every lithium cell. A shaded spot, a wall's shadow, or even a light cover makes a measurable difference over a summer. If you park at work, ask for the covered corner.
Charging generates its own heat. Plugging in a pack that is already hot from a 40-minute ride stacks the two. Give it 15–20 minutes — unlock the seat, grab a drink, then plug in. Your Nexo's battery management system protects against real extremes, but the habit still extends cell life.
Lithium cells are happiest in the middle of their range. For everyday commuting, charge when you're around 20–30% and stop around 90% — the display shows the percentage. Charge to 100% when you actually need the full 130–140 km. Don't leave the pack sitting at 0% for days; if you're going away, park it at about half.
Rain riding is fine. Riding through deep standing water or pointing a pressure washer at the battery bay is not. Water damage is excluded from every EV warranty in the market, including ours, so wipe the scooter down with a damp cloth instead.
The Nexo charger is matched to the pack's voltage and cut-off behaviour. Cheap replacement chargers and loose extension boards are the most common cause of avoidable battery complaints across the industry. If your charger is ever damaged, get a genuine one from any Nexo store.
You don't have to crawl. But full-throttle launches at every signal pull peak current and heat the pack more than a steady roll-on. Cruise control on open roads and gentle throttle in traffic will add real kilometres to each charge — and years to the battery.
It sounds unrelated, but under-inflated tyres make the motor work harder, draw more current and shorten range on every trip. Correct pressure is the cheapest battery care there is. Our stores will check it free when you visit.
Lithium packs age by charge cycles, not months. With normal use a Phylion pack comfortably outlasts the 36-month warranty; range fades gradually rather than failing suddenly, and even after years of daily riding most riders still see the large majority of their original range. The SU7's battery is also swappable, so a fresh pack later is a five-minute job.
