Best Electric Scooter for Delivery Riders in Pakistan: Range, Storage and Payback

If you ride for a living, the scooter isn't a purchase — it's a tool that has to pay for itself. Fuel is your biggest cost after the bike itself, and it's the one an electric scooter removes almost entirely. Here is what a full delivery shift actually demands from an EV, how the Nexo Nine and SU7 measure up, and how fast the switch pays back on a rider's income.

Best EV for Delivery Riders — Nexo EV

What a delivery shift really needs

  • Range for a full shift without a mid-day charge. A busy food or courier rider covers 80–120 km a day. Anything under 100 km real range means a charging stop you can't afford.
  • Storage that fits parcels. Under-seat space for a helmet, a food bag or small parcels, plus a flat floor for larger boxes.
  • Load capacity. Rider plus a loaded box plus the occasional passenger — you want headroom in the rating.
  • Brakes that stop a loaded scooter in traffic. Front and rear discs, not a drum.
  • Low running cost. This is the entire point.
  • Warranty and parts you can actually get. A cheap import with no service network costs you shifts, not just money.

How the Nexo Nine and SU7 measure up

Delivery need Nexo Nine 1500W Nexo SU7 2000W
Real range 130–140 km 120 km
Under-seat storage Yes, generous Yes, generous
Max load 180 kg 220 kg
Brakes Dual disc Dual disc
Battery 76.8V / 32Ah 76.8V / 35Ah, swappable
Cost per km (electricity) ≈ PKR 0.81 ≈ PKR 1.00
Price PKR 255,000 PKR 280,000

For most riders the Nine is the delivery scooter: longest range in the lineup, lowest cost per kilometre, and a price PKR 25,000 lower. The SU7 earns its premium if you run a second battery — lift out the empty pack, drop in the charged one, and keep riding — or if your route includes flyovers and heavy loads where 105 Nm of torque and a 220 kg rating pay off.

The payback maths on a rider's income

Take a rider covering 100 km a day, 26 days a month — 2,600 km. On a 70cc petrol bike at 40 km/l and PKR 270 a litre that's 65 litres, or PKR 17,550 a month in fuel, before oil changes every three weeks. On a Nexo Nine the same distance uses about 47 units of electricity — PKR 2,100 at PKR 45 a unit. The monthly saving is around PKR 15,000–16,000, which is close to what our customer Eshal Amna reported when her fuel bill fell from PKR 18,000 to PKR 2,500.

Monthly, 2,600 km 70cc petrol bike Nexo Nine 1500W
Fuel / electricity PKR 17,550 PKR 2,100
Maintenance (averaged) PKR 3,000 PKR 300
Total PKR 20,550 PKR 2,400
Saving PKR 18,150 / month
Nine pays for itself in about 14 months
Note: At delivery mileage a Nexo Nine pays for its entire PKR 255,000 price in a little over a year — and then keeps saving PKR 18,000 a month for as long as you ride it.

A day on a Nexo, planned

Charge overnight at home (4–5 hours, any socket). Start the shift at 100%. A 100 km day on the Nine leaves 25–35% in reserve, which is exactly what you want in traffic and heat. Plug in when you get home; you are ready again by morning. SU7 riders with a spare pack can swap at lunch and skip the reserve question entirely. Ali Hassan, who rides deliveries all day on a Nine, put it simply: the storage takes his parcels and the range covers a full shift without worrying about charge.

Where the money comes from — and where it goes

No oil changes, no tuning, no chain, no clutch. Tyres and brake pads are the only wear items, and with disc brakes and tubeless tyres they last. Budget PKR 300 a month for wear and you are still saving five figures. And because the Nexo is silent and vibration-free, a ten-hour day is physically easier — riders tell us that matters more than they expected.

Things to check before you buy any EV for work

  • Real range, not brochure range — ask riders, or test ride with a load.
  • Battery warranty in writing (Nexo: 36 months) and a service point in your city (Nexo: 29 store cities).
  • Genuine parts availability — chargers, controllers, pads.
  • Whether the battery is swappable if you plan long shifts.
  • Load rating with your box fitted.
